SUMMARY:SEC Webinar: Fit for Funding Training
DESCRIPTION:Fit for Funding is a short course provided by Faith in Community Scotland which aims to help you: \n\n\n\n\nthink through your fundraising plan\n\n\n\nidentify funders that can support your work and\n\n\n\nsimplify the process of applying for and managing funding. \n\n\n\n\nThe course is primarily an introduction to the world of funding\, funders’ jargon\, priorities and outcomes.  Equally\, it is also a way to build connections with those from other charges doing similar work and a great way to build mutual support and your own networks as you navigate the funding process.  \n\n\n\nWhether you are brand new to projects and finding funding or have years of experience\, our hope is that you will find something useful and share your wisdom with the group. This is an extended workshop programme of the session offered at some Net Zero Roadshow events. \n\n\n\nThe training workshop is provided by Allan Ramsay\, Community Development Worker for Faith in Community Scotland. \n\n\n\nTo register please email Jack Nevin.

SUMMARY:Thriving Biodiversity: Caring for God's Creation'
DESCRIPTION:One of the key components of the SEC Net Zero Plan is care of God’s creation\, and fostering Thriving Biodiversity. SUMMARY:Study and Sing at Saint Andrew's
DESCRIPTION:This is the latest in a series of  ‘Study and Sing’ days\, hosted by the University of St Andrews and St Andrew’s SEC\, in partnership with Church Music Scotland. \n\n\n\n\nStudy and Sing: Creation\n\n\n\nSaturday 16th May\n\n\n\nWorkshop – cost – £15 – covers tea\, coffee and resources – bring your own packed lunch\n\n\n\nEnd of day service is free\, open to all\n\n\n\n\nTo book\, please see: https://events.st-andrews.ac.uk/events/study-and-sing-creation/ \n\n\n\nTea\, coffee\, arrival from 9am.  Workshop 9:30 to 4pm in the Laidlaw Music Centre\, followed by service of worship in St Andrew’s SEC church\, both Queens Terrace\, St Andrews\, Fife. \n\n\n\nWe will be thinking about how music\, and sound\, help created things praise God\, and how listening to and making sound can help us to appreciate our place in the wider scheme of God’s creation.   \n\n\n\nPsalms tell us to ‘sing new songs’\, and this year we have two new songs composed by St Andrews students.  Charis Yip’s ‘Call of Creation’ is a song that can be sung with a simple accompaniment\, in a contemporary praise-song idiom.  Luis Meseguer Mira’s ‘Genesis’ piece uses traditional plainsong and more modern (but not too challenging) harmonies to set words from Genesis 1.
