Church buildings continue to serve their communities because of the dedication of the people who care for them. Regular maintenance plays a vital role in keeping buildings safe, sustainable and in good repair.
This session highlights the importance of preventative maintenance and how a planned, proactive approach can help protect heritage, reduce costs and encourage shared responsibility. You will hear practical insights, drawing on decades of experience caring for historic buildings.
This session will cover:
- Why preventative maintenance matters
- What to tackle first, and when
- Creating and using an effective maintenance plan
- Working as a team and involving the wider community
Whether you are struggling to keep on top of maintenance or developing a new or existing plan, this session offers practical guidance and reassurance.
This session is open to anyone, from any church, chapel of meeting house across the UK. This will be a friendly informal session and is open to any member of your team so please feel free to share this invitation. The workshop will be a 45 minute presentation/discussion, with 15 minutes for discussion and questions at the end.
