St Serf’s Burntisland has recently completed the first phase of a heating project, which aims to gradually replace the oil boiler that previously heated the church.
So far, seven radiant heaters have been installed, including six 2600W R-Pro Rose ‘far IR’ Heaters and one Amaryllis ‘near IR’ 6000W heater.

The congregation certainly feels warmer than they were with just the oil-fired boiler; however, will continue to use some heat from the oil boiler until they can complete the second phase of their project.
Phase two will include some additional heating for the nave – possibly a radiant chandelier – as well as for the vestry and coffee room.
St Serf’s were delighted to receive a £1000 grant for the heaters from Benefact Trust. The remaining costs were covered by church funds.
