Up to 100% of eligible costs is available for feasibility (£20,000), development (£200,000) and (up to 60% of the first £500,000 in costs) construction work for various projects from a new, limited-time Community Energy Growth Fund.

Eligible technologies include; solar PV and battery storage. Projects must include one of the following:
- A new renewable electricity generation
- New energy storage
- Enhancements to existing community energy projects
Projects that serve buildings with decarbonised heating are preferred. However, where your building has not yet decarbonised its heating, applications may still be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants in these circumstances must provide half-hourly electricity consumption data demonstrating sufficient daytime demand and a credible plan to decarbonise the building’s heating.
