This week the UN Climate Change Conference takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan. World leaders will be discussing how poorer nations can be supported in climate adaptation and mitigation. You can find out more about COP29 at the link below.
With so much unease and uncertainty in the world today, how can we respond in hope instead of despair? As Christians we are called to bring our concerns to God in lament, repentance and petition.
A new prayer resource has been developed to aid people in our praying through this week. This resource has been shared via Eco-Congregation Scotland and can be accessed below.
Please do use this resource as an individual, family or church group and feel free to share with others.
You may also like to join Green Christian’s online prayer meetings at 8am each morning from 11th November until 22nd November. More information can be found here:

Prayer for the COP29 climate summit from Cafod
God of blessings, the universe sings of your glory.
Deepen our gratitude for all you have made and awaken in us a renewed commitment to care for the earth and each other.
Inspire world leaders at COP29, with openness to listen to those most affected by climate change and with courage to act urgently and wisely, so that our common home may be healed and restored and all people, and generations to come, may delight in it. Amen.
