Journeying towards a net zero church

Event: CAREs Community Buildings Fund Webinar

Published by

on

Join representatives from Local Energy Scotland, who are responsible for the CAREs Community Buildings Fund programme, for a flexible, virtual drop-in session where you can ask any questions about the application process.

This will also be a good opportunity to hear from other SEC charges going through the same journey.

The webinar will take place on 4 June, 1-2pm, on Zoom.

The CAREs programme is the flagship funding stream from the Scottish Government for supporting sustainable community building projects.

Eligible community groups can apply for grants of up to £80,000, covering up to 80% of project costs, to help reduce carbon emissions and make buildings more sustainable.

Your church may be eligible. CARES supports renewable technologies such as heat pumps, solar PV, battery storage and solar water heating, as well as energy‑efficiency measures.

CARES can also cover essential costs like planning permission, building warrants and grid connections.
