Journeying towards a net zero church

Case Study: Halo Heating at St Anne’s Dunbar

Published by

on

St Anne’s, Dunbar has just installed a Halo heater at the back of their church as a trial before potentially extending the system throughout the building.

The heating controls are in the church office and will allow usage to be managed and recorded. With the installation of a new smart meter, St Anne’s anticipates much easier monitoring of their energy use.

St Anne’s is hugely grateful for the financial support they received, both from their own vestry (23.5% of costs) and their external funders: East Lothian Council Regeneration Fund, the Baird Trust and BeGreen.

The effectiveness of the single heater at St Anne’s will be assessed over the next few months. This will help inform a decision on whether to extend the system to the whole church.
